1. Check the Settings Menu -
For an iPad running iOS:
Go to Settings > Cellular/Mobile Data.
If you see this option, your device supports cellular.
You might also see "Carrier" or "SIM Applications" in the settings.
For an Android:
Go to Settings > Network & Internet (or Connections).
Look for Mobile Network, SIM cards, or Cellular networks.
If these options exist, your tablet likely has cellular capabilities.
2. Look Up the Model Number -
Find your tablet’s model number:
iOS: Settings > General > About
Android: Settings > About tablet / About device
Google the model number with the word “specs” (e.g., Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 T875 specs)
If it says LTE, 5G, or Cellular, it supports mobile networks.
If it just says Wi-Fi only, unfortunately, it does not.
-
1. Look for a Physical SIM Card Slot
Check the edges of the tablet for a SIM card tray (use a SIM ejector or paperclip to check).
If it has one, it's likely cellular-enabled.
2. If you still have it, check the Box or Documentation
Look for words like:
“Wi-Fi + Cellular”
“LTE” or “5G”
An IMEI number (only cellular devices have this)
3. Check for an IMEI Number
On an iPad running iOS: Settings > General > About
On an Android: Settings > About tablet > Status
If you see an IMEI, your tablet supports cellular (Wi-Fi-only models do not have an IMEI).
